The Cumberland Theatre is the only remaining professional theatre in Western Maryland. We work hard every day to preserve the arts in our community and you can help! There are several ways you can do your part to support the Cumberland Theatre. Every donation, every helping hand, every effort is appreciated!
Here are some ways you can help...
CAPITOL IMPROVEMENT FUND
In late 2016, the Capital Improvement Fund was created to address some much needed repairs and refurbishments to the building. The fund was set at $150,000.00 and included plans for a new roof, new air conditioning and heating systems, new sound and lighting systems and several cosmetic repairs including dressing rooms and patron bathroom renovations. Currently, we are at $100,000.00 - over half of our goal! Your contribution could assist with this plan to elevate our theatre's condition and amenities for not only our hard working actors, but our supportive patrons and audience members to enjoy for years to come!

SPONSOR A SHOW
Show Sponsors are our most valued supporters and receive the several benefits throughout the run of the show they sponsor as well as the season as a whole.. Our Show Sponsors are show specific and assigned on a first come first served basis. There are three levels of Sponsorship: Flagship (corporate, small business and individual) Marquee, and Producer. All Show Sponsors of our shows have logo placement on every program, poster and marquee poster for their show. The Flagship Sponsor is gratefully acknowledged in our radio advertising and pre-show announcements, as well as use of our Starbox Lounge with VIP seating, food and beverage for eight (8) people.

"FRIENDS OF THE THEATRE"
We realize that large donations are not always possible. For this reason, we have created "Friends of the Theatre" which is a title you receive for any monetary donation over $25.00. Donors will be listed in our 2022 program. Every dollar counts and no contribution is too small.

HOUSE AN ACTOR
Many of our actors are professionals from all over the East Coast, and while we do have actor's housing of our own, we can only house four (4) actors comfortably per show. That's why we turn to our patrons and friends to help us and our actors out by giving them a welcoming place to stay. Whether you have a rental home or apartment that you are not currently using or a room in your home that you are willing to offer, we will compensate you with season tickets, a charitable contribution acknowledgment or business advertising in exchange.
